CEDAR RAPIDS - A man suspected of using a stolen credit card to make purchases has been arrested, according to authorities.
According to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Bryan J. Marti, 39, is charged with false use of a credit card.
On April 12, police distributed several surveillance photos that depicted a man officers believed was using a stolen credit card to make purchases at a local retailer on March 14. As a result, the department received tips that allowed officers to identify Marti as the suspect in the photographs.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said the charge is an aggravated misdemeanor since the amount of the items bought with the credit card did not exceed $1,000.
