Allamakee County woman seriously hurt in fall from moving pickup
A rural New Albin woman was seriously injured after falling from a moving pickup early Sunday morning.
According to the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, Erin Marie Rud, 19, fell out of a pickup being driven by Travis Scott Colsch, 20, of rural New Albin, which was northbound on Morgan Bridge Road near Pine Tree Drive, southwest of New Albin, at approximately 3:53 a.m. Sunday.
Rud was taken by air ambulance to a La Crosse, Wis. hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available.
Colsch was charged with operating while intoxicated and was taken to the Allamakee County Jail. The accident remains under investigation.
