CEDAR RAPIDS – A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested after police say he caused a fire while making methamphetamine last month.
Jesse J. Vozenilek, 20, of 1708 C St. SW, has been charged with first-degree arson after the June 18 fire at 110 Morgan St. SW. Investigators found ingredients used to make the drug and other drug paraphernalia during a search after the fire was extinguished.
According to the criminal complaint, other people were inside the mobile home when the fire broke out. Police said Vozenilek suffered minor burns to his face and hands, and had already gone to a hospital when officers arrived.
Police arrested Vozenilek at his home Monday without incident. He was taken to the Linn County Jail.
