Ronald R. McGuire, 76, of Olin, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at his home. Per Ron's request, no funeral services will take place. The family will have a private celebration of life.
Ronald Ray McGuire was born Nov. 5, 1940, to Louis and Viola Korning McGuire in Anamosa, Iowa. He was a graduate of Olin High School. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Rockwell Collins for 30 years. Ron was united in marriage to Cherry Geiger on March 9, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nev. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Cherry McGuire of Tipton; children, Rick (Tiana) McGuire and Mike (Sheila) McGuire; stepchildren, Shelly (Kurt) Encke, Dawn (Paul) Rancourt and Forrest (Miyako) Den Linden; two grandchildren, Amaya McGuire and AJ McGuire; five stepgrandchildren, Neil Segebarth, Kristy Horn, Robert Encke, Pemberley VanderLinden and Sage Den Linden; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Kaiden Segebarth.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
