MARCELLA "MARCI" SCHURK

Marcella "Marci" Schurk, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2018, following a short illness surrounded by those who loved her. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the chapel garden section. A visitation will be held from
5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born June 20, 1925, in Ogema, Wis. She was married to Arnold Zika in 1946. Marci was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and displayed beautiful flowers every year. She was active in the local Widow Widower's Club, where she met and married Robert Schurk in December 2004. They enjoyed 13 years of joyful marriage in the golden years of their lives. They took several memorable vacations with family and friends
She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and participated in the Kum Dubl Class and was always willing to bake cookies and kolaches for a variety of church events.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Schurk; three children and their spouses, Jim Zika (Lily) of Marion, Judy Rash (Ken) Norfolk, Va., and Janelle Stookey (David) of Mountain Home, Ark.; and two stepchildren, David Schurk of Houston, Texas, and Diane Burnett (Tom) of Sandia Park, N.M. She had one sister, Gloria Madison of Wisconsin. She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Zika; her sisters; and brother.
Her generosity, adventurous spirit, and love of her family and friends will be greatly missed each and every day.
