Rubendall, Ramona

Ramona Rubendall, 52, of Centennial, Colo., passed away peacefully in her home on July 22, 2013. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Pinicon Ridge Park in Central City.

Ramona was born on Oct. 19, 1960, to Adrian Larson and Genevieve Larson Milbrandt in Decorah, Iowa. She graduated from Postville High School in 1979. She was married to Gene Rubendall from 1979 to 2001. She graduated from Capri Cosmetology College in Cedar Rapids, and soon became a Master III Stylist.

In August 2009, she was reunited with her high school sweetheart and later moved to Colorado to be with him. On Dec. 12, 2012, he asked her to marry him. From that day she was busy planning their perfect wedding.

Ramona enjoyed road trips with Billy through the mountains and exploring what Colorado had to offer. Her grandchildren were very important to her. She enjoyed playing with them and experiencing life through their eyes. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, decorating, reading, and sharing her life with Billy.

Surviving Ramona's passing are her fiance, Billy Finnell; daughters, Nikolette (Chet) and Tabitha (Chris); five grandchildren, Tayton (10), Brady (9), Carysa (7), Cameron (5), and Brynna (2); her mother, Genevieve Milbrandt; five sisters, Yvette, Susan, Leone, Cherie and Cheryl; three sisters-in-law; and Billy's five sons.
