Krahling, Janice A.
Janice A. Krahling, 73, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour before. The Rev. David Miller will be officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Janice Ann Krahling was born Dec. 19, 1938, to Henry and Thelma Tellin Krahling in Cedar Rapids. Jan was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid bowler in her earlier years. Jan worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone and Skogman Realty Co. in Cedar Rapids and then Dell Web Developer in Phoenix. Following her employment at Dell Web Developer, she worked at ADM Corn Sweetner's and then All State Insurance Co.
Survivors include her siblings, Linda Burns and David (Betty) Krahling, both of Cedar Rapids; nieces, Debra (Chris) Schneider of Prairie Village, Kan. and Kelly (Kurt) Ziegelbein of La Crosse, Wis.; great-nieces and nephews, Zach, Samantha, Will, Ben, Jake and Abby; special cousins, Art Tellin and Eileen Steuber; aunt, Elsie Murrish; friends, Connie, Roger and Sharon, all of Arizona; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Bob Burns.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
