Beverly Rula, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 13, 2016, under the care of hospice at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Beverly was born Jan. 19, 1934, in Shellsburg, Iowa, to Arthur and Leona (Carr) Rankin Sr. She was united in marriage to Leo Roger Rula on July 25, 1953, in Palo. Beverly was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by son, Randy (Julie) of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Brenda (Randy) Lane of Palo and Belinda (Darden) Caylor of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 1994; son, Robert Rula, in 1994; and brother Art Rankin Jr.
