ROBERT "LES" HEASTY

Robert "Les" Heasty, 77, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Grace Baptist Church, Marion. Interment will be in Wayne Zion Cemetery, rural Monticello. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Surviving are his wife, Renelda; four children, Robert F. (Lisa) of Marion, Rick of Clarence, Rex (Rhonda) of Marion and Ann (Mike Weyant) Randall of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Ann Clabaugh, Fran Carter and Cecelia Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Stephan Watermann.
Robert Lester Heasty was born in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Robert and Diana Frasher Heasty. Robert attended Martelle Schools. He served his country in the U.S. Army and Iowa National Guard.
Les had been employed at Collins Radio and ADM Corn Sweeteners where he retired from. He was a charter member of the Anamosa Bow Hunters Club.
