Vermazen, Robert Daniel
Robert Daniel Vermazen, 65, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Aug. 3, 2013, at Hospice of the Valley, Sun City, Ariz. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Unity Center of Cedar Rapids, 3791 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids. Burial was Oct. 11 in Keokuk.
Survivors include his wife, Shelly; four sons, Kurt, Kory, Klay and Kacey Vermazen; daughter, Tobi Hoyer; brother, James “Jim” Vermazen; sisters, Carolyn Eignfield and Becky McCorkle; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Vermazen and Ila Mae Kite Vermazen; daughter, Kristine Vermazen; and many Kite relatives.
Robert was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Keokuk and last worked for Carpenters Union Local 308 for over 26 years, mainly at ADM in Cedar Rapids.
