Stanley "Stan" L. Jarosh, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at ManorCare Health Services, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial following the service will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Stan was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Jackson Junction, Iowa, the son of Albert and Agnes (Klimish) Jarosh. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 to 1946. On Aug. 13, 1951, Stan was united in marriage to Rubey E. Durham. He was the owner of the Southside Tavern in Cedar Rapids for 18 years.
Stan is survived by his son, Dan (Gwen) Jarosh of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Christopher Eichhorn and Ian Jarosh of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Delores Ira of Spillville, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes Jarosh; wife, Rubey Jarosh, in 2006; daughter, Lisa Eichhorn; grandson, Jason Jarosh; two brothers, Vince and George Jarosh; and two sisters, Irene Harold and Viola Houdek.
