Jeffrey T. Engbretson, 56, of Potosi, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 27, 1959, in Seattle, Wash., the son of Gerald and Joyce (Krumpos) Engbretson. Jeff spent his childhood in Rockford, Ill., Arlington Heights, Ill., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School in Marion. After graduation, Jeff and Barb began farming in the Mount Vernon, Iowa, area. In 1980, he was united in marriage to Barb Scott in Cedar Rapids. In 1997, the family moved to Grant County, Wis., where Jeff and Barb farmed, raising cattle, hogs and crops.
Jeff was an honorable, deliberate, hard-working man. He loved his family, he loved his farm, and he loved the life he lived.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barb Engbretson of Potosi; children, Kelsey (Travis) Wagner, Lancaster, Wis., and Tanner (Ashleigh Grendziak) Engbretson, Madison, Wis.; his parents, Gerald and Joyce Engbretson, Robins; his siblings, Steve (Edith) Engbretson, Grangeville, Idaho, Peggy (Jeff) Tipton, Marion, and Laurie (Robert) Brickey, Robins; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of plants and flowers, a Jeffrey T. Engbretson Memorial Fund has been established.
