GARY LEE BURLINGHAM "BUCK"
Cedar Rapids
Gary Lee Burlingham, affectionately known as Buck, 85, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. Per Buck's wishes, the family will have a small private gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
Buck was a jazz drummer who shared his love of music with his older brother, Jim. He was an avid reader and relished a good debate.
Buck was a wonderful, loving dad and an awesome Grandpa. He will be greatly missed by his brother, James Burlingham; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Brett Good; and two grandchildren, Brevon and Eva.
The family thanks all of those who cared for Buck during his last few years, especially Carol Berg, for her love and compassion, and for being with Buck when he left this Earth. Buck will live on in our hearts and souls.
Memorials may be directed to Friends of Music at Coe (FOMAC), 1220 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
Turn up the lights, I don't want to go home in the dark. O. Henry
We'll leave the lights on, Dad.
