Singleton, Vera A.
Vera A. Singleton, 97, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Windmill Manor Care Center. A graveside committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. John McKinstry officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.

Vera was born April 11, 1916, in Waterloo, the daughter of John and Edna Bernett Hileman. On Sept. 26, 1936, Vera married Clayton Singleton. Clayton died in 2011.
Vera and Clayton were longtime Coralville residents. She was employed for many years in the University of Iowa business office. Vera was a member of First Christian Church and the Carnation Rebekah's.
Survivors include her two sons, Lee Singleton of Cedar Rapids and James (Samantha) Singleton of Monticello, Ill.; grandchildren, Cynthia, Laura, Scott, Christine, Lisa, Kelley and James; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
