Grommon, Jamie Ann
Jamie Ann Grommon, 51, of Hiawatha, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. A gathering will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Larry (Becky) Wolfe Jr. of Hiawatha; three grandchildren, Kelsey Lee-Wolfe, Austyn Lee and Addyson McBride; two sisters, Shirley (Errol) Lindsey of Cedar Rapids and Deborah McNeill of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Dieter (Uschi) Kuntze of Berlin, Germany, and Herb (Dilyn) McNeill of Vinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a lifelong childhood friend, Julie Himes.
Jamie was born Sept. 3, 1959, the daughter of James and Lisa (Schluter) McNeill in Cedar Rapids. She attended Wilson and Jefferson High Schools. Jamie worked in convenience stores and in customer service in area hotels.
