Flack, Margaret
Margaret Flack, 97, a resident of The Meth-Wick Community, died Sunday, May 8, 2011. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after noon. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lee McCoy and husband Richard of Louisville, Ky.; a son, James Flack and wife Kathy of Waterloo; five grandchildren, James, Christine, Scott, Jennifer and Brett; and five great-grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Aaron, Blaine and Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leon Wesley Flack.
Margaret was born March 25, 1914, in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of James and Emma Watt. She married Leon Wesley Flack on Feb. 11, 1943, in Chicago. Margaret worked for Prudential Life Insurance Co. as a secretary. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Holiday Bazaar. Margaret volunteered over 15,000 hours at Mercy Medical Center and volunteered help with Bingo at Meth-Wick. She enjoyed cooking and quilting.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
