Woods, Thomas Lee
Thomas Lee Woods, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. The family will greet friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion. A private graveside service will be held at the Paralta Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Gary Woods of Troy Mills; daughter, Teri Cancilliere of Goodyear, Ariz.; long-time companion, Judith Faaborg of Cedar Rapids, and her children, Vicki (Jim) Rudd of Blakesburg, and Traci (Phil) Davis of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Carol Weber of Marion; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gary.
Tom was born June 3, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Richard and Gladys (Klopp) Woods. He married Maryann Cook; they later divorced. Tom was a longtime professional driver for Greyhound, Tri-State, and Cedar Valley World Travel.
