King Jr., James H.
James H. King Jr., 51, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Kim; mother, Susie (Dan) Shulgin of Cedar Rapids; his children, Stephanie King of Cedar Rapids, Jerimiah (Kati) Hervey of Sigourney, Sarah Hervey of Hedrick and Amber Hervey of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Damien, Payton and Connor; and two sisters, Gerry (Mike) Wallace of Martelle and Christene (Lee) Thornton of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.
Jim was born April 3, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate from Kennedy High School, he worked as a truck driver and most recently at the First Avenue Hy-Vee Deli.
Jim enjoyed video games, movies, fishing and riding motorcycles.
