James Lee "Jim" Meyer, 70, of North Liberty, previously of rural Hills, passed away in his home on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be one hour before the graveside service Tuesday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim's memory to Sharon Center United Methodist Church or NAMI of Johnson County.

Jim was born March 3, 1944, in Iowa City, the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Gosnell) Meyer. He always enjoyed and rarely missed his morning drive for coffee, visiting with friends and family, fishing, the outdoors and just being "Grandpa" to his grandkids.
His family includes his daughter, Shelli Meyer of Frytown; her children, Carley and Maverick Miller; and Jim's two brothers, Ron Meyer of Riverside and Tim Meyer (Katherine Gipple) of Messina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
