JEFFREY "JEFF" RIECKE

Jeffrey "Jeff" Eugene Riecke, 60, of Solon, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife of over 25 years, Patricia "Trish" Ringgold; his parents, Eugene and Marilyn Riecke; two sisters, Sylvie (Jeff) Thomas and Susan (John) Seifer; and special nieces and nephews, Meagan, Jonathan, David, Jeremy and Heather.
Jeff was preceded in death by his son, Cary; and his brother, Wayne.
Jeff was born Sept. 27, 1954, in Baltimore, Md., the son of Eugene and Marilyn Riecke. He attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and worked as an independent engineering contractor. He was an active member of the Shueyville United Methodist Church and enjoyed his time doing chores on the farm and woodworking. Jeff's smile would light up a room. He was a people person, and he loved cats, dogs and horses. Jeff was an accomplished musician, mastering many instruments. He always appreciated a good Maryland crab cake.
