Jewel Catherine Lee, 91, formerly of Walker, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Winslow House Care Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City officiated by the Rev. Darran Whiting.
Survivors include her children, James (Faith) Lee of Iowa City, Leonard (Isabelle) Lee of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, Steven (Deb) Lee of Walker and Joan (Roger) VanRiper of West Fork, Ark.; her brother, Charles (Jean) Allen of Missouri; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
Jewel was born Oct. 5, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Alta Allen, in Brimson, Mo. On May 2, 1942, she married James Wesley Lee in Chillicothe, Mo. He died Dec. 5, 2005.
