Donald C. LeGassick, 92, of Manchester, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018. Visitation from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester.
Funeral services at noon. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Donald was born Jan. 17, 1926, to John James and Eva Jeanette (Cobain) LeGassick on a farm northeast of Earlville. He graduated from Earlville High School in 1943 and farmed with his parents. On Oct. 16, 1949, he married Verla Belle Morris at the Delhi United Methodist Church. They farmed in the Earlville area until 1954, when they moved to a farm east of Manchester. In 1986, they retired to Manchester.
Surviving are his three children, Jeanette (Bruce) Nieman and John LeGassick (friend, Connie) of Manchester, and Janelle (JR) Plotz of Delhi; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Verla Belle; his sister, Geneva Carradus; his daughter-in-law, Melani LeGassick; and his parents.
