Dylan Michael Plotz, 20, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Eagles Club, 1735 11th St. NW. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Dylan is survived by his mother, Christina; father, Michael (Angie) VanderHeiden; six sisters, Adriana, Desarae, Katelyn, Brooklyn, Kaley and Mycala; grandparents, Patty and Russ Shelton of Cedar Rapids and Becky Svoboda (Mike Vogt) of Shellsburg; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel VanderHeiden; and grandpa, Scott Svoboda.
Dylan was born June 24, 1996, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Michael VanderHeiden and Christina Plotz. He graduated from Jefferson High School and worked as a roofer.
Dylan enjoyed fishing, picking on his sisters and spending time with his best buddy and dog, Rocky. Dylan will be remembered by his family because of his loyalty.
