Kelly, Harold H.J.
Harold H.J. Kelly, 100, of Shullsburg, Wis., formerly of Darlington, Wis., passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Shullsburg Home.
He was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Lafayette County, Wis., the son of Herman and Ella (Lyne) Kelly. Harold was united in marriage to Edna C. Meier on Sept. 15, 1934, at Edna's sister's home in Seymour Township, Wis. In 1999, Harold and Edna celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Harold is survived by one son, Richard (Marian) Kelly of Darlington, Wis.; one daughter, Marilyn (Herbert) Hoepfner of Sumner, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Louise Lyne of Lafayette Manor in Darlington.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Darlington United Methodist Church, 546 Main St., in Darlington, with the Rev. Larry Hakes officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main St., Darlington.
