Melton, Marilyn Kelly Telecky
Marilyn Kelly Telecky Melton, 85, of 352 23rd St. NW, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Randy Scheil. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may visit today from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday after noon.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Russell (Kathy) Telecky of Cedar Rapids and Ronald (Gloria) Telecky of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Aaron (Beth) Telecky, Kyle (Paige) Telecky and Andrew (Angie) Telecky, all of Cedar Rapids, and Meagan (Matt) Sheehan of Minneapolis; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Harville of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Tom (Ann) Kelly of Cedar Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Kelly; and her first husband, Ervin Telecky.
Marilyn was born March 10, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Leo and Mary Noble Kelly. She married Robert Melton on Jan. 1, 1957, in Cedar Rapids. She retired in 1993 from Service Master of Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Stonebridge Church.
Marilyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and knitting, playing the piano, and reading her Bible.
