Kelly Liddell and Troy Liddell, Kelly Liddell and Troy Liddell
The families and friends of Kelly and Troy Liddell have once again come together, this time under the most tragic circumstances following an accident that took their lives away from all of us this past Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. These same families and friends have rallied, supported, cried, laughed and will go on because of the beautiful lives of Kelly and Troy.
Please join us Sunday, Aug. 18, at Parkview Evangelical Church (15 Foster Rd., Iowa City) beginning at 2 p.m. for visitation and 4 p.m. for services to remember, reflect, share and support. Since Kelly and Troy touched many, many will come, so please understand because their spouses have just left the hospital from their injuries, they know they will not be able to see all and visit, but they will always cherish your thoughts, prayers, love and support during this time and beyond.
Kelly Rae Walters was born Nov. 17, 1962, to Keith and Jean Walters. She grew up in southeastern Iowa and graduated from Waco High School 1981 and UNI in 1985 with a BA in business administration. Kelly worked at Oral B, now Procter & Gamble, for 27 years.
She married Todd Liddell on Nov. 15, 1997. Kelly and Todd were thankful for all the blessings they shared in life … especially their sons, Dalen and Rolan. She enjoyed her roles as stepmom, mother-in-law and grandmother. Kelly loved being an aunt and adored her nieces and nephews.
Kelly will be remembered as a kind and generous person with a surprisingly competitive spirit for sports. She saw the best in people and was intentional about encouraging others. She was quick to smile, laugh and followed God with her whole heart and with great zeal.
She will be greatly missed.
Kelly's family includes her husband, Todd; their two sons, Dalen and Rolan, still at home; stepsons and their wives, Ryan and Hannah Liddell and their son, Josiah (Kalona), and Colin and Rachel Liddell and their son, Caemon (North Liberty); parents, Keith and Jean Walters (Wayland); siblings: Kristy Heffner and her husband, Wayne, and their children, Kaleb, Karis and Kirah (North Liberty); Kevin Walters (Phoenix); Kody Walters and his wife, Lauri, and their sons, Keegan and Killian (Tiffin); parents-in-law, Lonnie and Joan Liddell (North Liberty); sister-in-law, Marty Liddell, wife of Troy Liddell, and their sons, Shawn and AJ (North Liberty).
Online condolences may be sent for her family through the Web at www.gayandciha.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the continued well-being of their children.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Kelly and Troy's families.
