Kelly Lynn Mason-Mulnix, 29, of Marion and Coralville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. She leaves behind two sons, Sawyer, 5, and Lucas, 2, and husband, Ryan, of Marion.
Kelly is the beloved daughter of Edward and Janice Mason of Coralville and twin sister of Jillian (Justin) Lamb of Cedar Rapids. Her brother is Ryan (Melissa) Mason of Marietta, Ga.; and her best friend of 14 years is Amanda Laffoon of Cedar Rapids.
She is also survived by her many wonderful nephews and nieces, Carter and Elle Mason of Marietta, Ga., and Caiden Simon and Emma Lamb of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Andrew James Lamb of Cedar Rapids.
Kelly was a first-grade teacher at Kirkwood Elementary School in Coralville, a job she truly loved. She leaves behind a wonderful group of students and co-workers.
Kelly also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in New England.
We will be honoring Kelly's life on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to The Kelly Mulnix Memorial Fund for her sons' education.
