THELMA SWEET
Russellville, Ark.
Thelma Elizabeth Sweet, 93, of Russellville, Ark., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at her daughter's home in Atalissa, Iowa.
Thelma was born in Decorah, Iowa, on Feb. 14, 1924, a daughter of the late Ella (Stevens) and Martin Borseth.
Thelma is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sandra (Danny) Meier of Atalissa and Kathy (John) Thomas of Cedar Rapids; her stepdaughter, Wanita (Bob) Ruen of Decorah; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barb (Gordon) Pfister of Calamus, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter W. Sweet; and her brothers, Edwin, Mahlon, Kenny and Russell.
Private family inurnment will be at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Arkansas Hospice in her memory.
