Swailes, Harold J.
The Honorable Harold J. Swailes, 90, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following a short illness. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, at First Congregational UCC by the Rev. Pete Hagglund. Inurnment, with military honors, will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; sons, Tom (Nancy) Swailes of Platteville, Wis., Don (Cheryl) Swailes of Stevens Point, Wis., and John (Cheri) Swailes of Solomons, Md.; brother, Walter Swailes of Wisconsin; sisters, Martha Heritage of Davenport and Esther Hotchkiss of Spokane Valley, Wash.; six stepchildren; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean.
A memorial fund has been established.
