Stevens, George A.
George A. Stevens, 85, of Ridgeview Assisted Living, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in Cedar Falls. Family will greet friends for an hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo is in charge of arrangements.
George Alton Stevens was born April 10, 1927, in Cedar Falls, the son of George Alfred and Anna Hundertmark Stevens. He married Zelda Postel on June 11, 1955; she died Aug. 15, 2003.
George was a Realtor and real estate appraiser in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area.
George is survived by two daughters, Patricia (John) Mauser of Indianapolis and Gayle (Paul) Wilcox of Cedar Rapids; one son, Eric Alton Stevens of Marion; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
