Ohrt, Robert 'Butch' James
Funeral services for Robert “Butch” James Ohrt, 68, of Tipton, who died Thursday, July 11, 2013, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at United Methodist Church, Tipton. The Rev. Phil Leipold will be officiating. There will be a visitation at Fry Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Robert.

Robert was born Jan. 15, 1945, in Cedar County, Iowa, the son of William Christian and Marguerite Lois Taylor Ohrt. He was a 1963 graduate of West Branch High School. On March 13, 1965, Robert was united in marriage to Judy Verlee Daufeldt in Rochester, Iowa. He was employed as a maintenance worker for Oscar Mayer for 10 years. Before that Robert was employed by Louis Rich for many years. Robert enjoyed playing cards and bingo, stock car racing, watching his grandchildren at sporting events and was a member of the “Hardees Coffee Club.”
Robert is loved and survived by his wife, Judy Ohrt of Tipton; his children, Rodney (Debbie) Ohrt of Tipton, Tracy (Terry) Stotler of Solon and Mandy Ohrt of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Britton, Alyssa and Brady Stotler, Ashley and Garrett Hepker and Nolan Ohrt; great-grandchild, Kaden Timmerman; and sisters, Carol Hills of Tipton and Sandy Bell of West Branch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ohrt and Marguerite Fogo; and sister, Nancy Johnson.
