Shirley Ann Folken, 73, of Springville, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, in hospice at Jones Regional Medical Center. There are no public services; a private family committal will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Born Aug. 22, 1943, the first child of Hubert and June (Bishop) Walker, Shirley loved cooking, flowers, birds, and especially her family. She married John Folken on Nov. 8, 1974.
She is survived by her husband; children, Brandy and Adam; granddaughter, Gracey; mother; brother, Terry (Doris); sisters, Bev, Debbie (Ed) Lathrop and Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, and brother-in-law, Rollie Steiner.
