Clements, Colleen
Colleen Clements, 79, of 200 Clive Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 3:08 p.m. June 5, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with Father John Spiegel officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home one hour before the service on Wednesday.
She was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Fremont, Iowa, to Cecil and Wilma (Cornell) Buchholz. She married John Clements on Jan. 30, 1950. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she lived all of her married life in South Dakota, where she retired from Wall Drug Store in Wall, S.D. She had been a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wall and she enjoyed china painting. Surviving are two daughters, Connie Richards of Cedar Rapids and Nancy Clements–Frazzini of Farmington, N.M.; two sons, Bob Clements of Belle Fourche, S.D., and David (Kathy) Clements of Buffalo, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter “Bud” (Lavetta) Buchholz of Ottumwa and Dean Buchholz of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Sharon (Harold) Russell of Drakesville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wayne Buchholz.
