Upah, Helen Agnes Buresh
Helen Agnes Buresh Upah, 95, of Tama, formerly of Toledo, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama, with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, rural Toledo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, with a 7 p.m. vigil service and rosary.
Survivors include two children, Robert (Mary) Buresh of Tama and Janet Venneman of Luzerne; six grandchildren, Doreen (Rodney) Hampton of Middletown, Ohio, Michael (Heidi) Buresh of Jacksonville, Fla., Sister Joetta Venneman of Louisville, Ky., Jacqueline (Todd) Hagen of Shellsburg, Janice (Balfour) Correll of Atlanta, Ga., and Joe (Melisa) Venneman of Blairstown; seven great-grandchildren, Brian and Heather Butt, Willa and Reis Buresh, Wyatt and Noah Hagen, and Brandon Venneman; one sister, Adeline Upah of Chelsea; sisters-in-law, Wilma Kubu of Marion and Violet Dvorak of Clutier; and many nieces and nephews.
