WillaDean Kaeser, 81, of Decorah, formerly of Waukon, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Aase Haugen Nursing Home,
with the Rev. Simon Hanson presiding. Burial will be in Taylorsville Cemetery, Volga. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the nursing home. Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah is assisting the family.
WillaDean is survived by her two children, Nina (Ron) Taylor of Decorah and LeRoy (Dee) Nelson of Elkader; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Peterson, Decorah, Brad Peterson, Marion, Patrick (Dana) Peterson, Marion, Leah Beaman, Earlville, Nolan Nelson, Postville, and Levi (Tina) Nelson, St. Olaf; three stepchildren, Dave (Karen) Taylor, Tiburon, Calif., Steven (Deb) Taylor, Norwalk, and Brian (Brenda) Taylor, Decorah; 12 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; a sister, Norma Nelson, Elkader; a brother-in-law, Ken Lemka, Elkader; many nieces and nephews; and one special niece nicknamed "Funny Face."
