Angeline Agnes Brown, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Brosh Chapel & The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with the Rev. Jennifer Zoller presiding. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel. Burial will follow at Campbell Cemetery, near Bertram.
Angeline was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Ely, the daughter of Edward and Agnes (Svoboda) Lnenicka. She graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids, Class of 1948. Angeline was united in marriage to Edwin Brown on Dec. 19, 1948, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She worked at Cedar Rapids Community Schools, Moore Oil Co. and Tupperware. She was also Bertram city clerk for over 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and pear pie.
Angeline is survived by her children, Wayne (Connie) Brown of Bertram, Carol (Richard) Olson of Raymond and Kevin Brown of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Samantha (Keith) Dahlby, Kirk (Alana) Olson and Kathleen Brown; two great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Felicity; her brother, Rudy Lnenicka of Bertram; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; and her siblings, Edwin, Robert (Darlene), Leonard (Bonnie) and Wilma (Jerry) Kulhavy.
