PATRICIA K. WOOD MCNIEL
Midway, Ky.
Patricia K. Wood McNiel, 70, of Midway, Ky., spouse of Robert E. McNiel, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
Born April 21, 1947, in Marshalltown, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late
Merle and Mildred (Clemens) Wood. On Aug. 16, 1971, she was married to Robert E. McNiel in Huntington Beach, Calif. She was a registered nurse with CCU and OR experience and had worked at Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, Calif., Chandler Medical Center, Central Baptist and Surgery Center in Lexington, Ky., before retiring in 1999. She enjoyed Disney, reading, pets and spending time with her daughters and grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathryn (Dave) McNiel Fields, Lexington, Ky., Kristine McNiel, Midway, Ky.; and grandchild, Emily Tibbetts, Midway.
A brother, Gary, is deceased.
A memorial will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 25.
