Brown, Roberta 'Bobbi'

Roberta “Bobbi” Brown, 82, formerly of West Branch, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Coralville. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Private family services will be Friday, June 7, with the Rev. Mark J. Holmes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Initiatives Hospice or Lantern Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bobbi was born July 3, 1930, in Ruthven, Iowa, the daughter of Dellano and Lyle Endicott Meek. She graduated from Turlock High School in Turlock, Calif. She was united in marriage to William Brown in Turlock on July 9, 1954. Bobbi owned and managed two retail bridal shops from the late 1970s until her retirement in 1988.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” of Coralville, formerly of West Branch; daughter, Sandi Jean (Michael) Guely of Urbandale; sons, Greg (Sandy) of Tipton and Wayne (Julie) of Cambridge, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Shane Guely, Rachele Gueli-Jones, Stephanie Grieme, Jason Brown, Andrea Brown, Emily Brown and Daniel Brown; and six great-grandchildren.
