Lux, Jonathan Scott
Jonathan Scott Lux, 57, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug, 19, at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy., Louisville, Ky. Visitation from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home - Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, Ky.
He was born Dec. 31, 1953, he was raised in Hopkinton and attended Maquoketa Valley Schools. He attended the University of Iowa, and graduated from the University of Dubuque. He received his master's degree from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.
Scott was united in marriage to Patrice Schutte in Hopkinton, in October 2001. They resided in Louisville, Ky. He was manager of Clinical Services for Volunteers of America and a member Southeast Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice Lux; daughter, Ashlyn Nicole Lux; and stepchildren, Melissa, Elizabeth and Patrick Schutte.
He is also survived by his father, Bill Lux of Manchester; brothers, Jim (Annette) of Clinton, Wash., and David (Cindy) Lux of Cedar Falls; sister, Julia (Craig) Thompson of Strawberry Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Lux.
