Eckholm, Shane Lee
Shane Lee Eckholm, 34, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Brian Dellaert officiating. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Norway. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Parish Center.
Shane was born Sept. 11, 1977, in Iowa City, Iowa.
He is survived by his mother, Julia (Doug) Hanke-Himmelsbach; father, Gary (Nancy) Eckholm; stepbrother, Brandon Eckholm; stepsisters, Callie Eckholm, Sherry Renae (Brian) Bayeur, Amanda Louise Vogt and Bethany Ann (Conrad) Schmidt; nephew, Brendan Bayeur; grandparents, Margaret Hanke-Reinhart and Marvin “Pedro” Eckholm; and stepgrandparents, Richard and Jane Himmelsbach
Preceding Shane in death were his grandfather, Alvah Hanke Jr.; grandmother, Martha Eckholm; and stepgrandfather, Walter J. “Buck” Reinhart.
Shane loved to cook and camp.
