Robert Blosch, 74, of Hiawatha, passed away Feb. 26, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born Nov, 6, 1941, in Manchester, Iowa, son of William and Margaret (Klink) Blosch. He married Edna Kauffman on Sept. 7, 1963; together they had two daughters. The couple farmed in Manchester. He then went to work for Quaker Oats, retiring in 2001.
Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to his grandchildren's musicals and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Eagles Club and an honorary member of AMVETS.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Edward) Zehr of Manchester and Cozette "Cozy" (Don) Goldsmith of Humbolt; grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell Zehr and Dallas Goldsmith; sister, Iva (Jon) DeSmidt of Cedar Falls; sister-in-law, Jackie Blosch of Manchester; and a dear friend, Al Lathrop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret; granddaughter, Sophia Marie Goldsmith; and brother, Edwin.
