Betty R. McNamer, 88, of Iowa City, died at her home unexpectedly on Sept. 21, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. Burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
Memorials may be directed to the Betty R. McNamer Memorial Fund.
Betty worked for many years at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, VA Health Care System, and during retirement, for Dr. A.O. Colby M.D.
Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kathryn McNamer of Iowa City, John (Susan Van Gorden) of Marion, Matthew Doan McNamer (Ellen St. Onge) of Frederick, Md., and Julia Dee Anderson of Phoenix.
