Frederick E. Wagner, 75, of Waverly, Iowa, died on Friday night, Dec. 25, 2015.
Fred was born on July 31, 1940, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Frank Richard and Beulah Evelyn (Cross) Wagner.
On Aug. 25, 1962, Fred married Sherillynn Rae Bush. Fred worked for the phone company for 38 years, prior to his retirement in 2001.
Fred is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Stan (Julie) Wagner of Elkader, Iowa, Jill Wagner of Plummer, Idaho, and Pamela Wagner (Rob Rivera) of Waverly; sisters, Anita (Keith) Kobliska of Elkader, Iowa, Sandra (Gary) Hawbaker of Boise, Idaho, and Sara (Paul) Schneider of Williamston, Mich.; mother-in-law, Abbie Bush; sisters-in-law, Chris (Pat) Sperry and Marcia (Jerry) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday, Dec. 31, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Tendrils Rooftop Garden in the Waverly Health Center.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Wartburg College wrestling.
