Sweet, Raymond D.
Raymond D. Sweet, 86, of Elberon, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at the Keystone Care Center in Keystone. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Vining Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor James Perry officiating. Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family.
Raymond Darrel Sweet was born Feb. 28, 1923, to William and Emma Sturm Sweet, in Wellington, Kan. Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Vermadell Williams on June 9, 2001, in Pueblo, Colo.
He is survived by his wife, Della; three children; and loving family and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lester Sweet.
