Tina Anne Aubrecht, 60, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a short illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Family funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alecia Helmer officiating. The service may be viewed by way of a Zoom link which may be found on Tina's obituary page at www.lensingfuneral.com. Friends are welcome to attend the graveside committal at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing practices must be respected. Thank you.
Tina was born Sept. 14, 1960, in Iowa City, the daughter of Virgil and Maureen (Johnson) Fountain. She was a 1978 graduate of West Branch High School. On June 8, 1991, Tina married the love of her life Doug Aubrecht in West Branch.
Tina was employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1998.
Tina was a longtime member of North Liberty United Methodist Church. She loved to camp, fish and go to the racetrack. Tina was gifted at sewing and making quilts. Most important to Tina, was time spent with her family, especially nieces and nephews. Family gatherings and Christmas were her favorite family events. Tina loved Shannon, her yellow lab.
Tina is survived by her husband and soulmate, Doug; her parents, Virgil and Maureen Fountain of Tiffin; five siblings, her twin, Terrie (Steve) Doehrmann of West Liberty, Brett Jon (Lisa) Fountain of Colorado Springs, Kathy Lynn (Mark) Ogden of North Liberty, Charles Byron (Pam) Fountain of Des Moines and Sherri Lee (David) Bailey of Solon; 14 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Betty Aubrecht of North Liberty; brother and sisters-in-law, Karen Aubrecht, Kevin Aubrecht and Sherrie Aubrecht; and nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Shorty Aubrecht; and brother-in-law, Ron Aubrecht.
