JULIA ANN (FREESE) BOWEN

Julia Ann (Freese) Bowen, 63, of Davenport, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016. A committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Dunkard Cemetery, Midway. Friends and family may visit at the family home, 1017 Welcome Lane, Marion. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4444 Kimberly Rd., Davenport. A luncheon will follow.
Survivors include her husband, Steven; and sisters, Charity (Bill) Mitchell of Springville and Nancy (Greg) Andrew of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barbara Caldbeck and Linda Johnson.
Julia was born April 15, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Harold Walter and Dorothy Evelyn Freese. She was a graduate of Linn-Mar High School. Julia was a self-employed painter and interior decorator. She worked at Citibank in San Francisco, Calif., the Quad-City Times and Shive Hattery.
