Satariano, Julia
Julia Satariano, 55, of New Sharon, formerly of Tama, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Montezuma. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the New Sharon First Christian Church. Visitation will begin after noon today, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral Home, New Sharon. Burial will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Tama, at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the New Sharon First Christian Church.

Julia Ann Satariano, daughter of Doran and Janet (Welch) Dalton was born on Dec. 11, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Julia was a 1973 graduate of Cedar Rapids Washington High School and a 1975 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Julia worked as a sales associate at J.C. Penney's in Cedar Rapids where she sold draperies. On May 1, 1987, Julia was united in marriage to Tony Satariano in Tama, Iowa. Tony and Julia made their home in Tama for several years, where she worked at Casey's and then at Sunny Hill Care Center in Toledo, before moving to New Sharon. Julia had an eye for decorating. She loved to decorate her home and her church. She was a member of the New Sharon First Christian Church.
Julia is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tony Satariano of New Sharon; two stepdaughters, Allison and Erin; her sister, Joyce Christenson of Colorado; and her uncle and aunt, Howard and Mary Boyer of Clinton, Iowa.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents.
