Term limits would take away power of people

Recent letters to The Gazette called for term limits. Bad idea!
If you think politicians are pulling shenanigans now, wait for term limits! Term limits take all the responsibility from the voters and places it squarely on imperfect office holders. And, once a lame duck, they are beholden to no one, being prone to all kinds of unconstitutional mischief before their terms expire. This would be very likely as the majority of House and Senate members dishonor their oaths to the Constitution.
Office holders need to be beholden to the voters, not legislation. Likewise, this means that voters need to be well-informed regarding the Constitution in order to intelligently vote for the best candidates and vote out the bad politicians.
Voters need to be vigilant and responsible for limiting terms and electing constitutional candidates in the first place. Term-limits legislation would remove both good and bad.
So, voter limitations are what we actually need. Voters should be required to pass a test on the Constitution before qualifying to vote.
Sadly, many voters can't name the president, let alone their representatives and senators, yet they are influenced into voting by a socialist media and friends just as ignorant of the Constitution as they are. The major media and the public schools contribute greatly to this ignorance.
It's also time to reject the parties of the Republicrats and Demlicans dominated and controlled by the same unpatriotic organizations.
There's always the Constitution Party!
