New Hires

TrueNorth in Cedar Rapids added several employees: Matt Kain (see photo) as client solutions architect in the transportation division, Michaela Sanderson (see photo) as service manager in the transportation division, Megan Miller (see photo) as account manager in the employee benefits division, Courtney St. John (see photo) as account manager in the employee benefits division, and Destini Hoth (see photo) as a qualified retirement plan account manager.

Awards

Melissa N. Emerson with CliftonLarsonAllen in Cedar Rapids received the ISCPA Certificate of Excellence from the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants for having a score in the top three percent of the Uniform CPA Examination.

The following Eastern Iowa agents have been named an All American Agent by American Family Insurance Group and will attend the All American Convention in San Francisco in July: in the President's Club - Daryl Braun and Harold Buhr; the All Star Club - Dennis Davis, Jacob Roetman and John Evers; and the All-American Club - Jeff Barnes, Kurt Gustafson, Bryan Watkins, John Raley, Tami Lasley, Kristi Demuth, Ron Rogers, Brenda Holzer and Mandy Maki.

Kevin and Kathy Knutson have agreed to lead the 55-member United Way Tocqueville Society for fiscal year 2013, which runs July 2012 through June 2013. Members in this society give more than $10,000 annually to help United Way improve the community. Kevin is the chair of the United Way board of directors.
