Greg Erenberger, 59, of Walford, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 3
to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Greg was born Oct. 14, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Rae Jean (Schorg) Erenberger. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1974 and from Upper Iowa University in Fayette in 1978. Greg was a four-year wrestling letterwinner at Upper Iowa University and had been an avid wrestling supporter since graduation. He was united in marriage to Debbie Burt in 1979. Greg was the founder and CEO of Edge Asset Management, Cedar Rapids, a fee-only financial investment firm. He was a respected member of the Prairie Foundation since 2001. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was an avid motorcycle rider. He is remembered by others as being dedicated to his family and friends, a hard worker and a humble man.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Walford; daughters, Kylee Kozisek of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kelsey (Austin) Ressler of Ely; siblings, Kerry (Douglas) Kimm of Norway, Iowa, Patti Erenberger of Marion and Steve Erenberger of Swisher; six nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, Hank and Bev Burt of Cedar Rapids; and sister-in-law, Sherrie Burt (Nancy Kies).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
